I think this is great news, who they attract, I really don't know. I always have thought Dayton was an airport that could be a decent midwestern hub like in the days of Piedmont/US Air.

It is a reciever, not a transmitter. I have used them several times as a passenger. If you look in the inflight magazine for Continental and Southwest you will see they are approved electronic devices.

I heard an ineresting rumor, US Airways is looking at Northwest. I heard this from a friend of a friend, who cousin works the ramp at Detroit, who heard it from a friend who works customer service at the Duluth, Minnesota station.

I don't think you will ever see Southwest fly anything except one common fleet type. Maybe I am wrong. I do recall Southwest having a couple of 727's in the late 70's.

I think that Gerry Grinstein should get a bonus. I believe his efforts and work saved Delta Air Lines. Once they emerge from bankruptcy, it will be interesting to see what happens financially. I have read where Delta will have the lowest costs of any major airline. Let's see what they can do with it...

I work with Delta and know the ompany philosphy of the company with never owning a four engined aircraft again, but for my money, with the way Delta is expanding, why not Delta? I would love to see a 747-800 going to South Africa, and Australia/New Zealand.
