Re: NYC (JFK/EWR/LGA/SWF/HPN/ISP) Aviation Thread - 2021

While my personal hope is for ISP-Chicago, I think it will probably be Frontier adding a city like Denver. F9 is the only carrier adding services lately at ISP. Breeze is also a possibility. But where would Breeze fly to from ISP? Tampa? Like ISP needs more Florida flights. For ISP to really have a ...

Re: Will US Carriers stop serving Cuba due to Trump's recent Travel Ban to Cuba?

Isn't tourism banned in Cuba now? With the new regulation "People to People" tourism is banned. Visiting family and a few others are still allowed. By losing P2P travelers the demand will plummet and airlines will eventually reduce service/capacity accordingly. AA will survive from MIA an...

Re: Could DL return to ISP?

I can see AA bringing back the DCA service. It lacked the slots when they had the AA/US merger, I would also love to have AA bring back the ISP-ORD service. It would be very easy for AA to add flights to a station that is already open. For DL to come back to ISP I could see 2x daily to ATL on a 717 ...

Be interesting to see this report when it comes out for the decision making process for HYD. There were a lot of options closer than HYD, they could have had PNQ, BQD, GOI, AMD, IDR. If they had the fuel to hold for and hour and HYD they also would have had fuel for BHO and NAG, and if they diverte...

From what I hear (and not confirmed) is that they are removing the mid cabin lav, and installing the new slimline seats.

This gives them room to add more seats. They will also get the E+ modification at that time.

I'm not sure what is going on with the -900's

There was some damage done to some wires in the E&E bay and a failed re-circulation fan. This is what caused the smoke. System shed or shut down components as it is supposed to and the smoke quickly cleared.
