If your going to london anyway, easyjet is probably the cheapest option........LTN is just as easy to get to as LHR, just a little bit longer on the train.

21 is a minimum almost everywhere in Spain.

Although past that, they'll let you rent almost anything with no extra charges for being a young 21-25 driver (unlike the UK and USA). so if you can find a friend who's over 21 that'd be helpful!

In many ways it dosn't matter, the average speed on motorways here is about 75mph, so you have to keep up with the traffic. As others have said, best way to increase mpg is buy a more efficient car. You'll usually get the best mpg driving as slowly as possible in the highest gear available, as smoothly as possible. For a manual, 5 sp 2 litre petrol thats about 40 mph. 50 mph is not what I'd call city driving, but it's not exactly suprising that driving slower = less fuel used. <TABLE BORDER=0 A...

In the UK the store you bought it from is responsible for fixing or replacing it, not the manfacturer. If they can't sort out the problem in a reasonable time they should provide a replacement. My car has heated front screen, so no ice scraping. All cars should have this, it's great - from frozen to clear in 30 seconds, much better, and stops the ice reforming right after you cleared it on really cold days.

I think drivers could be better in windows, it is one of the more anoying things about it. But I wouldn't want it to use unsuitable generic drivers either just to save me a few mins.
