Personally, I think the new livery doesn't look too bad. The fuselage is going to be painted in a light and smooth pink and the logo except that too large "swoosh/arch" represents Japan Airlines very well. In fact the swoosh brakes the imagine of a "female" livery enormously !

well, the livery isn't that special but it looks quite cool and impressive on a 744, indeed ! Unfortunately the fuselage is again WHITE !

well, I have just checked out JALs japanese website. There is a press release on their new LOGO with all the meanings and descriptions of the new logo. Quite interesting, but I can't load the pics !!! Anyone else ?

Yep, I believe they have. I've heard that their first 777-246ER would be delivered in august. JAL has recently retired one of their MD-11s (JA8585), probably because the 777 and new 767-346ERs have joined the fleet.

Well, LH's inflight service is not that great as many of you might think ! The F/As are not always very helpful and friendly, but the inflight food is the best I have ever had over the skies, indeed, even in Economy Class !

Well, in Japanese airline is called "koku", but we rarely say "Nippon-koku" (for JAL) but "Nihon-koku".

Swissair, for example, is called "su-i-su koku", Swiss-Airline.

Did you know that All Nippon Airways means "Zen-ni-ku" ?
