This title is very misleading.

It's not American Airlines. It's Republic Airways.

The engine did not blow up. It sucked in the cone, surged, but continue to run.

While I can not say if it was a go around or not, a go around does not warrant the pilots to climb to 8200 ft. Looking at the weather, I'd guess windshear.

It landed on runway 10. With the message they had, there was no way to steer once on the ground since the steering with rudder only turns 5-7 degrees.

When selecting Bombardier 300 from the drop down menu on the main page, no photos are found.

When you select Bombardier from the drop down menu, allow the photos to show up, then click on Bombardier 300, over 20 pages show up.

There are no keypads on ANY of the CRJ's, ERJ's or ATR's at American Eagle.

As an FO for Eagle, I would have done the same thing as that FO, although I probably would have declared an emergency. Better safe than sorry.

The Embraer 145/140/135 series airplanes have packs that automatically kick off depending on power setting and temperature. The pilots reset them in the "after takeoff" flow if needed.
