I quite like the Cathay livery, though I did prefer their previous one. <TABLE BORDER=0 ALIGN=CENTER WIDTH=95% style="border-top: 1pt #28455E solid;border-right: 1pt #1B2E3F solid;border-bottom: 1pt #1B2E3F solid;border-left: 1pt #28455E solid;table-layout:fixed;border-spacing:0;padding:0;border-col...

RE: Best Airline Livery?

I would say: joint 1st) BA and new-roo Qantas 2) the old Canadian Airlines goose livery - just beautiful. 3) KLM 4) Air Jamaica I agree precisely with what you say about Air France and JAL. The Air France livery, and tail in particular, is great and does ma...

Hmmm. That website doesn't really have a very comprehensive list of airlines to 'rate' - it doesn't even include British Airways.

Can't vote if my favourite's not there. Wink

A380 To Sydney

It's good to read so much about the A380 on the forum. Does anyone know the Singapore Airlines schedules for the first two or three weeks' operation of the A380 - in particular when it will be in Sydney during that time? (Or if it's already mentioned in a thread that I've missed, perhaps you could p...

Well done BA! RE: BA Waits For A350 Specs And Delays Order

Indeed. I think it's fairly clear that the A340 should have been a much better aircraft than it is (arguably the 500/600s were a late attempt by Airbus to compete with the 777...and even then they can't.) To say the A340 killed the jumbo is ridiculous and this is obvious even from a basic knowledge ...

RE: Does The B767 Aerodynamically Stink?

No of course the 767 doesn't aerodynamically stink! Don't forget, it has to be capable of continuing a safe take off and climb after having an engine failure at V1. Any twin-engined airliner therefore has a large reserve of power. As for all this 'sloppy' business...could be your (misguided) assessm...

RE: 777 In Windy Weather

Hi one and all...first post. Most of what has been said is true - size/mass, wing loading, control forces. Also, two 777s flying the same approach on the same day could feel quite different - depending on these things again, as they all vary with load. Turbulence will also feel different depending o...
