Jump to postI get in at around 15:30 and our flight leaves the next morning at 8:00. I made reservations for dinner in the CN Tower -- will this be difficult to get to? (if we are allowed to leave). Jump to postHi all!
I want to draw some fantasy airports (sometimes I shock myself with the nerdy things I like). We all know about those nice diagrams on the FAA website. What software do they use to make them?
Thanks,

Thanks for the response guys. Any word on the runway 9 areas by the old El Dorado warehouses (I think they got knocked down)? Anyway hope to see some of you out there after the summer.

Jump to postDoes anyone know if any DJs like Tiesto or PvD have their own private jets? I just returned from Ibiza and saw many private jets fly overhead and thought maybe a popular DJ was in them. Thanks.

The top photo is definitely badcentered. I don't think it's an illusion at all: the aircraft is clearly in the bottom right of the frame. Anyway, I suggest you either look online for some tutorials for Adobe Photoshop (or some other image editing software) or pay a visit to your local bookstore and ...
Jump to postI think Mr. Work is one of the best photographers on this website. His shots are original and always stunning. I also find him the most credible when it comes to the tech aspects of photography and general information. Great work and thanks for sharing your knowledge with us.
Ryan Kaskel - MIA
Wow Brian, you really pushed it with a lot of those! I concur with Royal-- none of those should be reuploaded. Also, a lot of the accepted shots seem soft. Next time I would sharpen a bit more.

Jump to postI have gotten the same error....in addition, when you add a manufacturer, you cannot delete it. It looks nice so far, but how about importing already existing manufacturers lists, airliners, all that stuff. You could possibly do this by parsing the HTML on the airliners.net search page and extractin...

I think the composition is very nice. The smaller airplane pairs nicely with the small village it is passing in the background. In addition, the plane and village are contrasted with the large bare hills and the clouds further back make a pretty "rolling appearance." It's sort of like Maho Beach (wh...

Jump to postWell, I received a call from the head of security (sounded like Doctor something though I could not understand him). They did get the guys name and he left a number for me to call back. I am going to place that call soon and I will let you guys know what happens.
Jump to postBelieve me, I hardl ever visit the non-aviation forum, but read my post above. Anyways, I really want to push the RSS for the forums. Simple to do and a great feature, why not!?
Jump to postOf course the battles have been fought, etc, etc. I was mainly trying to point to the sort of cliquish nature that has grown from it and the severe inflation of which I think defeats the entire respect rating system.
Jump to postI was thinking of some specific changes that could me made or features that could be added: 1) Sub-forums: I think many times users only prefer to view certain types of posts. Jump to postHi, the shape of my CRT monitor is severely distorted. The bottom left flares out. I have tried to fool around with the monitor settings, but nothing is working. Jump to postThat type of shot is really great for the afternoons, but definitely not in the morning (especially if it's cloudy -- as Mario said, always!). The sun is still "in front" of the aircraft and the lighting is very poor. There is something about Miami that seems to make most pictures very ugly. The bes...
Jump to postThanks Mario. Yes, I have Joe's e-mail address. I was thinking of e-mailing Don Boyd as he always seems to know what's up. I'm just "shocked" that the guy lied to me three times in a row. Anyways, I am awaiting a call from the head of the MDAD security.
Jump to postAlright, I called the MDAD security office and spoke to the secretary. She said the officer was supposed to give me his name and the number of the office. They are going to identify him and call me back later. Again, thanks for you help.
Jump to postThanks guys. Likewise, I have been there countless times. Trust me, I did stay there for 20 m...

Jump to postI thought it would be nice if on the front page, if you are a first class member you could truly customize it. For example, if you are a photographer, you could view your stats on the home page, or, you could set which forum appears on the homepage, etc., etc. Anything else?
Jump to postBrian -- right click, view the source and grab the URL to the image and bam, its yours. That is just simple javascript that provides basic security to people who don't really know anything about HTML.
Jump to postNice shot, but look at how much blue sky is above the F-18. The two aircraft in the lower half of the picture make it very bottom heavy. In addition, the lower parts of the the C-130 are cut off. I like the composition though....flag and crew, etc.

Just because something may be within the rules, it does not mean that it is polite or appropriate. If someone said something about my picture like that, I would be offended (unless I asked for advice). I think this sort of crticism is wrong, unless Flavian wanted to know which pictures could be impr...
Jump to postWhy on Earth would he do that? They have the right to say and express whatever they want, however offensive it is. If that picture is not Phil's, and they own the copyright for it (I do think it is), they have every right to do that. I don't know Chad, what's up with you today?
Jump to postNo. The problem is that despite saying how awesome the shot was, you still denounced the picture as being soft and his lens inferior to another lens. The negative outweighs the positive.
How hard is it to think?

Jump to postMediocre shots are for myaviation.net. If you don't think that site gives the pictures enough exposure, think about why? People want high quality work, and this site delivers.
Jump to postNice, small lens, but make sure you really know your limits with 200. I don't know anything about Denver, but it sounds like you need somethign long.
