Is something actually beeing done about the howling issue on A220 and E2s?

As has been discussed in the past, A220s and E-2s emit a very loud howling noise during approach and especially during take-off. On my next flight the only window seat available in C is 7A.
It says on Seatguru the seat has a misaligned window. Does that mean there isn't a window at all, or are there two windows of which one is closed?
