Re: Delta Air Lines Network - 2023

Has there been any new information on expanded routes out of SLC with the new terminal coming? With the cuts to the ski destinations will there be chances of opening up places like IND, SDF, etc. to daily SLC service? I live in SDF and have a house in PSP as well. Re: Kentucky Aviation - 2023

My SDF wish-list in order of how likely they are to occur: 1) SDF-JFK on DL 2) SDF-SLC on DL (maybe SDF-PVU on MX?) 3) SDF-SEA on AS 4) SDF-PHX on AA It does seem like MX has really cooled on SDF after the initial adds. I don't expect any additional MX service for quite a while. Also, what are the ...

Re: Kentucky Aviation Thread - 2021

SDF - SLC on Delta has long been rumored by the staff at SDF. They always say the issue is at SLC due to gate space and once the new terminals are built we would likely get a flight. I've flown IND-SLC on an E175 so it's possible for this aircraft to make the trip.

While there are some great markets here for SLC (PIT, CMH, etc.) there is a new station manager at SDF who is trying to get SLC service for us as well. Re: Delta Air Lines orders 30 additional A321s

With the MD-88 fleet being retired it will be interesting to see what cities like SDF (my home) get for service. We get mostly MD-88 from ATL today and sometimes 737-700, 737-800, MD-90, A320 and A319. We've never seen the 752 or A321 in regular service may just be too big.

Fun days ahead.

Re: UPS crash at Charleston, WV

Still looking for the most updated details, does not appear to be a UPS jet but a carrier that may be flying cargo for UPS. Checking flights from our hub at SDF shows a Shorts flying the SDF-CRW route.

It appears to be an AIr Cargo Carriers flight that arrived at 6:55AM and went off of the runway.

Delta is experimenting with a lot of point to point routes lately. They have many O&D based routes at BOS/CVG/RDU/MCO/DCA/MIA/BDL, and I expect to see them try more of them going forward. While DL has focused on RDU, I think this is equally about BNA as DL has added a nonstop to SEA, CRJ-900's ...
