Doolittle Raider Reunion @ FAT

Fri May 11, 2001 6:53 am

This weekend there will be a reunion of the surviving members of Gen. Jimmy Doolittle's raid on Tokyo here in Fresno. There will be a number of WWII-vintage aircraft on display including what is being billed as the largest gathering of B-25s since the war. All the activities will be held on the airport between the SkyWest/Mesa hangar and the CDF base. I'm hoping for a slow night at work so that I can make the short stroll across the hangar and take a look at these old beauties! If you can get to Fresno this weekend, come and check it out. Go to http://www.eaglefield.net for all the info.

I was able to attend one of their reunions in Columbia, SC in 1992. It was AMAZING, and well worth the trip for anyone who can make it.
