F-117 Developments

Tue May 15, 2001 8:42 am

Hello guys,

Does anybody know if the F-117 has already been tested with AIM-9 Sidewinders?

And what about developments, like better manoverability, speed and weapons? Is there any prototype of the F-117N?

Thanks

Tchau!

The F-117 has already been fitted with full color displays since the gulf war and for the addition of AIM-9's that will never happen mainly because the heat from the rockets engine would ruin its heat signature. Its stealthyness (for lack of a better word) it is portection, it does not need anything else. As for the speed, afterburners (none are fitted) would also ruin its heat signature, as they increase heat. Beleive it or not the F-117 is already pretty maneuvable for its type. Hope this helps
