A4 Skyhawk Submarine Launch

Fri Jun 22, 2001 11:22 am

I know us Aussies can be a bit strange sometimes but can some one tell me what this picture is all about.

Or is it just a touched up picture!

Any ideas.

Sorry, but Ireland does not own submarines. That's an Oberon sub, making it British, Aussie or Canadian.
The A4 is australian Navy. The roundel has a Kangaroo, not a Kiwi (check the tail...).

maybe. I know the photo is a fake, but it is still nice  Smile
Even an A-4 would not fit on the deck of an Oberon class, let alone survive diving in flyable condition or be able to take of over the sonar dome (not visible in the photo).

Actually, this photo rings a bell, I dont think its a fake, I remember seeing it somewheres else, along with an explanation, if only I could remember where...

Look at it close enough and anyone who has used a photo enhancing program can find the obvious signs of alteration....
