I just think this picture is pretty funny.

I guess this could be used when the aircraft is on station really far away.

this topic has come up before. just read the comments for the topic 'KC's a taste of their own medicine' near the bottom of the topic list page. as far as the refueling, what's wrong with a tanker refueling another tanker? we need gas too

This photo was taken during the AR testing phase of the KC-10 test program. I believe the first aircraft a KC-10 ever refuelled was a C-5.

I haven't seen the Shamu paint scheme in a long time. I liked it better than the current AMC drab.

The old paint was nicer, but MiGdrivers thought so as well  Big thumbs up

Tankers on long positioning flights might profit from aerial refueling, as it is faster than landing to take on juice.
