I already discussed this with Mig-29-sniper:
And answer is Su-37 faster,agiler,longer range,greater angle speed,shorter takeoff /landoff length etc.
Su-30MK is better for one thing playing chess with the second crew mate.

If you want to play jhess in the plane than choose Su-35UB it's best tandem seater nowdays.
And your answer is su-37 with AL-41 engines

That plane looks like a total ripoff of the F-22. Then again when it comes to Russia, what else is new....(unless this is some sort of joke)

BTW what do you mean saying when it cames from Russia? In which western fighter do su-27 ,mig-29, mig-25 and su-25 luck like?

YKA, stop with the nonsense. If you are so smart, reply to this post: http://www.airliners.net/discussions/military/read.main/4951/6/

Battlesomething: All I'm trying to say is that you should be much more specific in your posts. "More advanced". I could say that the Su-34 is "more advanced" because of its range, avionics, ground-strike capabilities etc. If you want to know which a/c is the most manouverable, for example, say that. State the qualities you are looking for.

ohh comeon you cant look at both these aircraft and honestly tell me the Russian version was not heavily "influenced" by the F-22. Everything else is nearly identical except for the first half of the wings, and the slight diffrences in the nose and intakes.

As most know the Russian aerospace industry has quite a record of reverse engneering forgein designs. Examples would include the RR Nene engine, the Mig-15, space shuttle, the B-29, the IL-62 bears a striking resemblence to the VC-10 and i'm sure there are others.

As my dad sometimes jokes:

Where did the Russian invent the bicycle?
....in the Germans attic!

ha ha... not funny.

BTW, what a/c is the MiG-15 a rip-off of?
This thing works both ways, one could argue that Lockheed Martin's JSF contender is based on the Yak-141, and that the A400M is based on the An-70.

I could also say that mig-25 is the best fighter because it is fastest a/c.
So MR LY something when you compare two or more aircraft you must luck about all [or almost all] aspects you have data about. Strike flanker has a greater range and most advanced strike capabilities but what about a dogfight or stealthiness,takeoff/landoff distance etc.

Look dude, saying "who is the most advanced flanker" is way too general. OK, so maybe people would know what you mean, but that doesn't make it right.

Apperently the MIG-15 was designed from plans stolen from Germany after it surendered. I assume that was OK though since their wars caused so my destruction and ended up costing the other countries alot of money.

if MiG-15 was as u say stollen from germany, i would assume it was happening after the WW2, correct? - right during those days when germany did not have any army whatsoever, was under USSR from the east, and under the allainces from the west. - so how the fuck would they still anything from them if germany practicaly did not exist at that point???

shut up man! im ready to go on with it! - Su-30MK will remain the most manuvrable fighter nowdays untill Su-37 gets its new engines. besides, depending on situation, it's proved to better be off with two people in cabin than one for a vary reasons.

The Mig 15 was not built from plans recovered from Germany. There was some debate on wether or not to put the Me-262 into production. Instead it was decided to copy the Jumo jet engine and it was graphted into a converted Yak piston engined fighter as a temporary measure and that design was later refined into a second yak jet fighter. Also the first mig jet fighter(the -9?) also used copies of the German engine.

Although the Mig 15 airframe is not a copy of either a German or Western design, engine was an unlicensed copy of the Rolls Royce Nene.

OH BTW....

Wouldn't it be neat to see an SU airframe sent down to IAI and have them fit it with Kosher Avionics and western weapons systems?

I think we would have a head turner there.

L-188:

I think the Su-30MKI (export version for India) is equipped with French avionics. A MiG-29 was equipped with German avionics, I think Poland is modernizing (going to) its MiG-29 fleet using that model. The IAI has upgraded Romania's MiG-21's a few years ago, it included an improved cockpit and new avionics (navigation and weapons systems, mainly. Improved ground attack capabilities), even an HMS, I believe. There was some talk about the IAI doing the same with Ukraine's MiG-21's, but I don't think they went ahead with that plan.

The Mig-15 was based (based is not copied!!)on the german Ta-183. This is a generally well know fact, and can be found on many Mig 15 books.

(MiG 15)

As you can see, there are similarities, but these are different planes.
