Just adding two to the list, F-14A and F-16CJ and CG. F-15Cs were used for CAP but not in Afghanistan. Affirmative on the EA-6B, E-2C and E-3.

The U.S. Army has the UH-60, AH-64, and OH-58 on the ground as well as the CH-47. I would guesss that there are some MD500 Defenders out there also.

The Navy will have SH-60's and well as CH-46's of their own.

There is a stunning picture in this month's AIR INTERNATIONAL...... a picture that, if you had shown it to me twenty years ago...HELL,FIVE years ago...with the actual caption below it, I'd have thought you were on crack.

It's a nose shot dated January 6th of the only flying AN-225 Myria arriving I believe in Uzbekistan....carrying US supplies from Munich to the forward bases in the war against terrorism. A USAF ground crewman is waving the aircraft to its parking space.

Strange days. Awesome aircraft though!

Never!  Smile/happy/getting dizzy

The Mighty Galaxy roars as well, manned by skilled professionals who are the speartip of our justice.

Let's hope the day returns when the C-5's airshow schedule is much longer than it's combat delivery schedule, huh?

RAF Tornadoes could be involved, as they are capable of reaching the area from the Arabian Peninsula with air refueling. And if they are there, RAF L1011's and VC-10's are probably nearby as well. I believe someone has mentioned that RAF Canberras have been flying reconaissance missions over Afghanistan during this operation. USAF (CIA?) U-2's have also been doing the same, AFAIK.

RAF Canberra PR.9A's, recently fitted with new recon equipment, carried out missions early on.
Royal Navy nuclear subs fired some Tomahawks at the start.
RAF VC-10's, and possibly L1011's, provided 75% of the tanker support to the USN during the main bombing campaign.
ELINT Nimrod R1's have also been based within range, in Oman.
Of course RAF C-130's are still running missions into Kabul, at night to lessen vunerability to shoulder-launched SAMs.
(A BBC Panorama documentry last week was with the Parachute and Gurka regiments in Kabul. Anyone who thinks this peacekeeping mission is not a real military operation should think again, loads of ununiformed armed men around, apart from the problem of warring factions, some are not happy to see Western troops, there's been several fire-fights already. Familar to those troops who were in pre-ceasefire Northern Ireland, but with more potential for things to get really rough) .
Didn't see any UK helos in the doc, but Sea King HC.4s and Royal Marine Lynx's are on RN ships in the Indian Ocean.
Possibly some Chinooks supporting the SAS and SBS troops in country, but they could be using US choppers.
The dedicated RAF Special Forces Chinook HC.3's, similar to the US MH-47's, are not yet in service.

Just nit-picking, but you seemed to have left out the AH-1's from the USMC.

The UK Channel 4 news, reporting on the intense fighting in Eastern Afghanistan between Taliban/Al-Queda and US/Afghan/Canadian and Australian forces, also showed footage of an RAF Chinook HC.2 in another part of the country, to update my post above.

A further update, French AF Mirage 2000D strike aircraft are carrying out bombing missions against those Taliban/Al-Queda forces in Eastern Afghanistan.
French, German and Danish troops are also involved.

A retired USAF O-8 said that he believes A-10's are being used in the current fighting in Eastern Afghanistan yesterday. AFAIK, the A-10 was never meant to be a long range a/c, so could they be based in Uzbekistan or Pakistan, or are they refuel in-flight like everyone else?

A-10s LOLOL anyway........

yes A-10s do A/R. they have to a/r in a dive to get speed. The Tanker and a-10 climb to altitude and then dive (not to dramatically) to get speed for the a/r. I've seen it several times very interesting indeed.

Sidenote- Where do they find these idiot retiree's (who I am glad served their country don't get me wrong) but are now out of touch and have no clue about what is going on. They basically get on TV and fight this war with last war's war stories.
