C-24 Questions

Fri Mar 15, 2002 8:09 pm

I've heard of the C-23 Sherpa (Shorts 330) & the VC-25 (Boeing 747), but what is the C-24? Is there such a designation? Someone said it was an second-hand DC-8 for the US Navy. Can anyone confirm this? What is it primary function? How many are there & what branches of the armed forces operate them? All replys much appreciated. Regards.
