F-35 (X-35) Joint Strike Fighter

Thu Apr 25, 2002 7:17 am

The F-35 Will Be Joining The Service In 2008, It Will Replace The F-16 Fighting Falcon And The A-10 Thunderbolt II (Warthog). This Is The Newest Unclassified Airforce Plane To Be Going Into Service. It Is An Air-to-ground Fighter. There Are Three Varrients Of The JSF. The Airforce Will Get The F-35A, The Navy Gets The F-35B, And The Corps Get The F-35C. This Is A Big Deal In The Military World.

As I mentioned in a previous thread about the JSF, I'm not so sure the F-35 is actually "replacing" any other aircraft...so to speak. It will simply adopt some of the functions of those aircraft.

Yeah that is kind of old news, but thanks for the post.

The Navy is already looking at cutting their numbers, though THe Netherlands, Canada, and possibly Italy will sign on to observe the program for future orders.

Does USAFJR intend to Capitalize Every Single Word Of His Posts or is there something wrong with his computer?

Seriously, man, you need to take a look at a grammar books. I wrote Ad copy for a while and even I know that you can't capitalize every single word. When you're initial capping, you should omit the articles like "the" and "is".

How will you get into the Air Force Academy if you can't write?

I really think that the JSF will never see production. It's too expensive. It's ugly also!  Smile/happy/getting dizzy

Re. FlyBoeings' comments, I couldn't agree more. To me, it seem like these forums are mostly used by 16-20 yr. olds that haven't read the rules. The spelling and punctuation is horrendous. This may be a "violation ", but it needs to be addressed.
Re. Schreiners' comment: check out Boeing's version for UGLY.

Yes, it is common knowledge that the JSF is replacing other planes. Ok, "Flyboeing", I get the point. I am 15, an ace on airplanes.com, and I did read the rules. Oh by the way Schreiner, the F-35 is already in production and the airforce has already paid for some of them, they want 3000 JSFs in all according to "Aviation Week". The JSF is cheaper than the F-22 but has a different mission type, its about the same price as the F-16. Get the picture? Then get with it.
