767 As A Fighter?..

Seems Boeing has gotten initial funding for a study into creating the combined AWACS/JSTARS version of the 767 that was proposed as an E-8 and E-3 replacement some time ago.

"Fighter" as in military instead of commercial I would presume.

Although I'd love to see someone try an Immelman in a 767...

Immelmann might be tricky, barrelrolls and loops would be altogether possible  Smile/happy/getting dizzy

I saw a picture some time ago of a Nimrod test firing missiles from it's wings for self defence reasons. I just wonder whether Boeings have the same idea for their 767 Awacs. By the way I don't think the Nimrods test ever went further than testing.
