A400M Update

Tue Oct 29, 2002 5:00 pm

Germany is undergoing a review of all procurement programs including the A400M. It's quite possible that Germany will cut the number (originally 73) of A400M on order. If this happens several things will/could occur. Obviously Germany would have to compensate the other countries involved for the increase in unit cost due to the reduction of orders. Workshare would also be affected. Worse case scenario would be the whole program might get cancelled. Then there's the remote possibility that Germany could say nein to the whole program. I doubt that will happen IMHO.
Never take financial advice from co-workers.
