Tue Feb 25, 2003 3:04 am

An Israeli Air Force F16-C crashed today in northern Israel after an engine failure.
During training flight the pilot reported he had an engine problems. He tried to restart the engine and after 2 unsuccessful attempts the pilot ejected at 2,000 feet and landed safely. The plane crashed in open area and no one was hurt.
This is the first Israeli F16 accident since August 2000.

A few minutes before this crash, a Bell 206 helicopter had an engine problem too and did an emergency landing in open area in southern Israel. No one was hurt in this accident too.
Long live the B747
