I was curious about the main rotors ? Did they rip off or is the craft being prepared for transport ?

It looks like the main rotors were removed for ground transport. The craft seems to be getting ready to be pulled onto that flatbed trailer on the right side of the photo. The main rotors should be the only disassembly needed to get it back to base. Kudos to the crew for getting it down in one piece, this bird should be flying again.

Looks like the number two engine took a direct hit. Goes to show what a tough bird the Apache is.

I am impressed, and I didn't think that much of Apaches when I was in an Apache unit in the Army.

He they guy set it down, right side up.

The rotor are removed for transport in that photo, you can see the trailer, which appears to be a tank transport trailer directly behind the helicopter.
