Agusta A109 In The British Army

Just seen an Agusta A109 low flying ,nap of the earth stuff ,200ft? Was in the area of local police HQ may have been operating out of the helipad there. Does anyone know if the British Army still operates the A109 I know the SAS had some ,still currant? Serials ?Help -any info needed thanks

Two almost brand new military A-109s (with weapon pylons) were captured at the end of the Falklands war in 1982.
They were used by the SAS in civil guise, two more were added in I think 1984, being essentially civilian looking they are inconspicuous, doubtful if they've ever been used abroad, they seem to be fast transports for the anti-terrorist CRW troop of the regiment.
Look at the range of military serials being allocated in the 1982-84 period, that will put you in the area of the A-109s.
