ATC Groundings For Mil. Ops?

Fri Sep 17, 2004 12:45 am

I recall reading about a USAF operation in the mid-fifties or so, where all civil aviation was grounded for a 24 hour period in the US.

Am I imagining reading this, I can't find the text now.

Do any of our Military experts know what I am talking about?
