N.A.S.A Sued For Upset To Cosmic Balance

Wed Jul 06, 2005 1:23 am

This crazed Russian woman has launched a lawsuit against NASA for it's Deep Impact comet probe. She says that the impact on the comet upset the "Cosmic Balance" which ruined her horoscope.

Talk about TOTAL INSANITY if this goes ahead. But in Russia, who knows.

MOSCOW — NASA's mission that sent a space probe smashing into a comet raised more than cosmic dust — it also brought a lawsuit from a Russian astrologer.

Marina Bai has sued the U.S. space agency, claiming the Deep Impact probe that punched a crater into the comet Tempel 1 late Sunday "ruins the natural balance of forces in the universe," the newspaper Izvestia reported today. A Moscow court has postponed hearings on the case until late July, the paper said.

The probe's comet crash sent up a cloud of debris that scientists hope to examine to learn how the solar system was formed.

Bai is seeking damages totalling 8.7 billion rubles ($300 million U.S.) — the approximate equivalent of the mission's cost — for her "moral sufferings," Izvestia said, quoting her lawyer Alexander Molokhov. She earlier told the paper that the experiment would ``deform her horoscope."

Quoting Photopilot (Thread starter):
``deform her horoscope."

I'd like to see what happens to her when she gets hit with an 800+ lb object @23-33,000 Mph!!

As an aside, I honestly (in humor) think this whole thing is a grand scale rip off of David Letterman's dropping stuff off an 8 story building.

Does astrology take into account all of the spacerocks not documented officially, let alone any of them? We cannot just count planets and stars, there is more out there, all tied by gravity. I'd say everyone's astrological charts are out of whack without the big picture. Big grin

Those charts are already convenient enough to apply to generally everyone.

I'm not gonna bash her, just that my thoughts on the matter have ended. I hope I never hear about it.
The meaning of life is curiosity; we were put on this planet to explore opportunities.
