Air Force One In CPH

Wed Jul 06, 2005 3:39 am

Bush and his wife is landing in CPH in about 1 hour. I saw 10 Hawks helicopters yesterday in the airport. Like we are in war. I might have problems tomorrow going to work. If I make a wrong move I might be hurt from a bullit
News: he will be flying in Marine One from the airport to the castle where the royal family will meet him. Hmm, what a show

Haha, that is really FUNNY. Just as I opened this thread, CNN started showing a live feed of AF1 taxying at CPH with a NW 330 in the back.

Yes, but it was not the AF1, it was the fake plane, the really one is still in the air. Hell the Prime Minister is waiting, hehe

CPH is supposed to be closed down from now and the next two hours due to the arrival of AF1.

At this moment I would normally hear a steady stream of airliners from the open window. Now I hear an occational RDAF F-16 fighter instead.

Private flight is prohibited over eastern Denmark and part of southern Sweden today and tomorrow until well after AF1 has left for Scotland and the G8 Meeting.

All airliners passing over Denmark will be routed to keep a minimum 60 km separation to AF1. Minimum two F-16 fighters from bases in Aalborg and Skrydstrup in Jutland will constantly observe and enforce the rules.

A couple of hundred US security specialists have been working for well over a month with Danish police to prepare this visit.

The people living in the village Fredenborg, the place of the royal summer castle where Laura and GWB will land in Marine One and stay for the night, they complain that they are practically living in a prison. On the way home from work I noticed plenty of police everywhere guarding motorway bridges and such.

It's a tough job for a small country, but we will make it. But maybe it will be tough for me to go to work tomorrow, I don't know.

An Apache just passed low overhead. Never seen before here.

Checking the route for Marine One from CPH to the royal summer castle where GBW and Laura will spend the night, I guess.

Does the "fake plane" bring staff in ahead of Bush, or is it flown in empty just in case the other plane has mx issues?

Royal family as well, correct? Was that them boarding AF1 and walking down the stairs with Bush? I was surprised they weren't invited into Marine One, Bush seemed to abruptly get in! Anybody know the two others who got in Marine One with Bush and Laura?

AF1 is a lot more complicated thing than just one VC-25A. We have probably receiced roughly 20 US planes and helicopters in support GWB's 17 hours long visit.

Of course two VC-25A, a number of C-5B Galaxy and a load of VIP and combat helicopters.

Nope. The Royal family is at their summer castle 30 miles north of CPH where they will receive the Bush family arriving on Marine One.

The Prime minister and his wife were invited into the AF1, they went up the stairs and left after 4-6 minutes. After the welcome Bush's family went to a helicopter. Don't know the name of it, but is was one of the small helicopters.
Well I am sure he is sleeping (in the Barons bed) and Laura is having a chat with the Queen, her husband and the crownprince and his wife.
Well I loved when Clinton came to Copenhagen 8 years ago. Today I don't care, only about the airplanes . Bush I just not my man.,

By the way AF0?, there ware at lot of poeple runing out of it, security people I presume, at least they looked like it.
I just have one question, why do they have to look like eachother?  Wink
