According to the Czech news server idnes, today is the factual end of 44
years of service of MiG-21s in the Czech(oslovak) Air Force. One MiG-21 was flown to the Prague-Kbely military museum earlier today and the remaining 5 will be flown to the Pøerov air base at 11:00 CET where they will be stored awaiting potential buyers.
The military has already sold 21 out of its 33 MiG-21s. According to the news server the price for one is 20.000 CZK (700EUR/800USD) and includes engine, accessories and spare parts. The a/c is not airworthy, therefore suitable only for display... Anyone interested?
