A-10s At Lakenheath?

I was wondering why there are A-10s detached to Lakenheath AFB, England from their home in Germany? Is the Air Force looking to reposition these aircraft?

I think they WERE there to scare the terrorists out of hiding..it's worked for the Iraqi Republican Guard...  Big grin
