like purchasing the actual ones worn on the uniforms? just do a yahoo search for Military Surplus. Youll find plenty of results. If youre anywhere close to a military installation you can go to the clothing sales store and get everything you need. Usually though you need to hold a military ID in order to buy from them.
Cleared for the option...

I'd start with Google.

Four..? Last I looked there are five. Coast Guard is still a branch of the military.

- I had always thought the Coast Guard was part of the Navy, but I guess that goes for the Marines as well.

No, the Marines are part of the Dept of the Navy. Coast Guard was part of the Dept. of Transportation, but now is under Home Land Security.

- You're saying that The USCG is NOT a part of the DoD?

They are more of a law enforcement agency, they were originaly under the Department of Transportation. When the Department of Homeland Security was formed after 9-11 the Coast Guard was merged into Homeland Security, along with Border Patrol, Customs and FEMA.

They are not Department of Defense.

Only in wartime, and if so declared by the President and Senate.

What?

I'm not sure what the "Public Health Service" is, but in the US, such organizations (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, to name the most famous) fall under the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS).

NOAA (National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration) is in the Department of Commerce, as the banner on their home page proclaims.

US Public Health Service Commissioned Corps is the uniformed service of the Department of Health and Human Services. A history of the corps is provided on the site.

National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration Commissioned Officer Corps is, like the PHS, a Uniformed Service of the United States Government. The service, consisting of approximately 299 commissioned officers, is an integral part of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), an agency of the U.S. Department of Commerce.

Neither are DoD as you asserted.
