Belgium AF F-16 "White Falcon"

Mon Jun 12, 2006 2:32 am

Does anyone have or know of a link to pictures of the special livery F-16 "White Falcon". It is circa 1998 and supposedly was to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the F-16 in Belgian AF service. I searched the DB and came up with nothing. The only pictures I've been able to find on the net are of RC models. I also have an FS version. Did this livery actually exist in Belgian AF service? It is a striking livery that is best when viewed from the side as I don't care so much for the wings. Any help would be appreciated.

Ahhh... the power of Google!

The livery certainly did exist.

The special paint scheme was flown in 1998 to commemorate the 25 years that the F-16 has been at Kleine Brogel AB.

And I always liked this one to commemorate 45 years of 349 Sqn.:

Your men have to follow your orders. They don't have to go to your funeral.

Thanks Uh60FtRucker! I did a google image search and found nothing. What site did you get these from?

I'm sure you've accurately quoted what you read but it would have been a neat trick for Kleine Brogel AB to have the F-16 in 1973 considering the first flight of the YF-16 was 2 Feb, 1974! It was actually to commemorate 20 years.
