A Question Regarding The C-5

Tue Jul 04, 2006 8:25 am

Has a woman ever flown the C-5, even if only as an instructor? And if so when was the first time this happened?

Yes, of course. There are many female Air Force pilots...from F-16 to C-5. My guess for time line would have been within the last 20 years.

I know of at least one NYANG pilot who was a FedEx jockey during the week, and flew C5's in the national guard. This was at least 10 years ago, if not more. I'm sure there are more.

i recall seeing a report on i think it was 60 minutes during the 1st gulf war that took place with an all female crew on a C-5... I don't know if it was just a stunt for the TV or if it was a coincidence, but i clearly remember that... the Loadmaster was from Texas, and looked it...

I flew with one of them last week.
