Replacement For The Superhornet

Sat Sep 30, 2006 12:50 am

I know the F18-E/F is new, but I am looking forward to there replacement. So do you have any ideals you think the USN will use for a Superhornet replacement. Will it have a pilot or will it fly it self. How much thrust will it engines produce, and will it be size of the F-18E/F or will it be large like the F-14. What do think?

Cant really see 20 years into the future with all that much accuracy, but I doubt it will be piloted.

Should have stuck with the F-14.... wouldn't have needed a replacement then  Wink

but seriously now, would have to say the F-35 will probably take over in about 15 years and then the F-35 replacement will cover both. Prolly be unmanned.
