Pilatus Aircraft Ltd will supply the PC-21 Advanced Turboprop Trainer Aircraft for the Republic of Singapore Air Force (RSAF) Basic Wings Course (BWC). In total, nineteen PC-21 Advanced Turboprop Trainer Aircraft and a 20-year engineering and logistics support service will be provided.This deal is a great success for Pilatus and Switzerland!

 thumbsup  I think the PC-21 deserved this sale.

However, Singapore currently has about 30 Aermacchi S-211s. According to wikipedia, their performance should be comparable to the PC-21. What will happen to these aircraft ?
Exceptions confirm the rule.

Then it would be a stretch of the immagination to think that sooner or later the RAAF will also purchase them (since the SAF is going to base theirs in Pearce, it makes a lot of sense from a maintenance standpoint).

The PC-21 is the best military trainer available on the market.

Looks more like it'd win an air race than be a military trainer. Good looking aircraft.

I've found the answer to my question: They will replace the S-211s.
Exceptions confirm the rule.
