B-2 Spirit Specifications

Fri Nov 24, 2006 12:11 am

Hey guys. I was wondering if there was a specification sheet available for the B-2 Spirit. I checked a couple of places, but knowing me, I probably didn't look in the right place  Yeah sure If anyone has one, could you please post a link? thanks.

Cheers.

You won't find any detailed specs, they're still classified.

No, all details are in the public domain.
The B-2 specs are -
Speed- Fast enough
Range- Far enough
Ceiling- High enough
Payload- Whatever it takes!
If your camera sends text messages, that could explain why your photos are rubbish!

Won't happen. It never was about invisibility, it's about smaller threat rings. Reduced threat rings + ALCM = "where did that come from". Dropping off ALCM's from well beyond standoff range is a threat not easily countered.

I should have known better than to ask for the spec sheet for a Boeing military aircraft with the base price of 1.157 billion dollars

While that is correct, thread rings are becoming larger and larger by time. The newest version of the Russian S-400 system is said to be able to detect and engage a B-2 at 60km. And russian statements of that sort are usually understated.

The B-2 can detect S-400 radar sites still early enough to avoid it, but flying slalom around SAM-sites eats the range ...

Yeah, you have a point. But remember, the range and stealthiness of cruise missiles themselves keeps growing too.
