Fairchild-Republic Successor And A-10 Support?

Thu Nov 30, 2006 2:55 am

Fairchild-Republic merged with Dornier and became Fairchild-Dornier, and a few years later collapsed. Who supports the Thunderbolt II now?

If you do a search for A-10 on the Lockheed Marin web site you will see that Lockheed Martin has won the USAF contact to provide all A-10 up-grades and modifications.

I stand corrected. Grumman had A-10 support responsibility after Fairchild's collapse in 1987 through 2005, when LockMart took over.
