Red Flag 2007

Sun Jan 28, 2007 4:56 pm

I understand Red Flag exercises are under way at the Nellis AFB test range. Anyone have any suggestions on the best spots to watch from and how to get there? Also... is any one day more "action-packed" the the rest?

Dunno... but the Aussie F-111s will be there soon so keep your eyes open for our "Pigs"
If your camera sends text messages, that could explain why your photos are rubbish!

Also, F-22 is scheduled to make its Red Flag debut this year!!! Should be interesting to hear how it performs in pretty crowded airspace. I think it will do quite well. Does anyone know whether Typhons will participate in red flag in the coming years? Anyway, good luck watching, I do not know anything about favorable vantage points. Ciao

Hopefully he doesn't see them and the RAAF again shows those yankies how to fly!

Which Red Flag are they scheduled?

Don't know what you saw, but F-22's were not active participants in last years Red Flag exercises.

They departed and came back together with the rest of the Red Flag 07-01 participants. So i assume they were part of it.

They operate out of Nellis for OT&E...it's possible they went out with the other packages to conduct testing while it was going on, but this year is the first year they've directly participated...Check
