Rafale Abuse

Tue Apr 03, 2007 6:12 pm

Hi,

I don't know if this video was already posted. I find it ... amazing.
You can see some suicidal pilots on a Megadeth song, and don't miss the show at 1:01 and the missed take-off from the Charles de Gaulles carrier !!

Its indeed amazing thanks for sharing. The Mirage2k look great and the Rafale is stunning at the low flypast.

Great video. At about 1:14 you can see the wake created in the water as the pilot pulls up. bigthumbsup  What happened to the Etendard on take-off. Engine flame out?

Actually the number of Rafale minutes are quite limited. Lots of Mirage 2000, Lot's of Mirage F1's in the Chad area. There is about a 25 min video on FL350 or on "Patricks aviation video site" which is absolutely worthwile. Some of the desert shots are taken from the same video. It's called "Mirage dans le desert"

I think that was closer then the pilot meant it to be. The final part of the pullout is really high-AoA and he comes within about 4-5 metres of the water, clearly pulling hard to avoid impact. The engine blast on the water is clearly visible and obviously it's a great video but I'm sure the pilot's heart missed a few beats...
