Sri Lankan Army Picture - Aircraft Ident Request

Fri Jul 13, 2007 11:51 pm

Hi, I was reading an article published by the Media Centre for National Security, Ministry of Defence, Sri Lanka, and they had this interesting photo published here. "Army Commander Meets Senior Officers in Jaffna"

Reproduced below:
Big version: Width: 600 Height: 450 File size: 99kb

In this scene, they are walking under a high fixed wing aircraft. Only a portion of it is visible, such as a prop engine, and a portion of the right wing.

I'm curious to find out what aircraft they are flying. BTW, the Sri Lankan army uniform is identical to Bangladesh Army, it seems.

Looks like an AN-32B judging by the tapering of the wing...
