Any Area 51 Research Intelligence?

Tue Jul 17, 2007 1:02 pm

I was wondering if anybody knew anything about Area 51 plane research? Also, are there any clear satellite photos? Do their test flights show up on the most advanced flight trackers?

1) No one will tell you because thats classified.

2) Yes there are some photo's floating around, but they hide all the good stuff inside when the satellites that take pictures pass overhead.

3) Military flights don't show up on flighttrackers.

From what I see in that photo, starting at the top.

2 F-16's
What looks to be a Beech Kingair and a couple other prop jobs
3 JANET 737's

So really nothing special going on since everything is in the hangars during the satellite pass. In two different photo's those F-16's are in the same spot, so I assume that they are used as the bases alert fighters for anyone attempting to enter the no fly-zone around the area.

There are also 2 helicopters next to the triangle created at the top of the runway with the taxi ways. Wonder if they are transport or attack.
Does the US still deny they have this base?

Slightly OT. Here is a link to a an old Lockheed film of a D-21 hitting the mother ship, an M-21 (similar to an SR-71) at speed and altitude.

http://www.wvi.com/~sr71webmaster/srvid~1.htm

The video is 16.2 meg, a dialup may not be the best idea...But it's definitly worth the view if you haven't seen it before. The pilot and LCO bailed, the LCO sadly drowned. It is from 1966 and the only film I have ever seen of a D-21 launch. There were not very many launches.

If I were to guess, the helicopters would be used for patroling the perimeter.

That article is a lot of guessing and sensationalism. I frequent www.dreamlandresort.com (the website credited with discovering the hanger in question), and on Joerg's discussion forums, and Peter Merlin, whom is quoted in the article and a frequent poster on dreamlandresort, stated "most of the other things I told George Knapp were not used. My quotes were trimmed down to almost nothing of substance."

George Knapp, who wrote that article, also did not originally credit Dreamlandresort.com for discovering the hanger, and another website for the photos they used.

Very interesting indeed...

Forgot about those. I would suspect that these are two of the HH-60 Blackhawks that they use for security around the border of the base. They also transport techs to and from some of the more remote monitoring stations. Those stations have cameras and sensors ringing the base to detect people trying to enter and are sometimes only accessible by helo.

Any data you will be able to obtain will likely be guesses.

People who are really involved not only will not talk to you... if they do they can get in unbelievable trouble! They will not talk... not only that they will not HINT that they know anything or insinuate in any way shape or form.

This link is one of the best ways of getting the latest Scraps of intel that are about on the net.

Although a lot of the links listed on the page have gone to the nether worlds or been deleted by who ever it is that does such deletions!
