"usaf" Typfont?

Sat Aug 18, 2007 2:54 am

I´d like to know what the square typefont is called which is used on air force aircraft in the US and other countries.
And: where can I get that font (for free, apple-compatible, if possible). Thanks in advance.

(Yes, I´ve searched the forum, but haven´t found anything about it)

I found this, not that I'm involved in it.

Thanks a lot, Peter. Marginal differences to the original, but works fine!

What you want is Amarillo USAF. It is the most accurate USAF Font out there. In fact, its what our sheet metal shop used while I was stationed at Dover for the C-5. It doesn't have all those lines and what not that site has above...which I had at first as well. Amarillo USAF!
