Northrop –Grumman Win Global Hawk Updates

Sun May 04, 2008 3:56 pm

The new ASIP-2C sensor technology will boost the drone’s performance into pinpointing for instance specific mobile-phones and intercept/destroy the owner using the phone.
A similar technology was used to kill an Al Qaida member -Kaid Ali Bin Sinian al-Harethi – in Novmeber 2002 in Yemen, shooting a hellfire rocket off a Predator.

Actually, this is for the Preditors, the MQ-1/MQ-9s. But, it adds a new capability that is good for the USAF and NG.
