RAF Search & Rescue Rescue! Great Precision Flying

Mon Jul 07, 2008 7:53 pm

Great video via the BBC of a RAF Chinook precision lifting a broken down Sea King minus it's rotor blades.

Can't make out the registrations, but a great piece of control by the Chinook pilot helped by the awsome power of it's engines.

Any ideas why the Sea King went u/s during an operation? Must have been serious.

Pretty much a no brainer...standard lift for any Chinook pilot.

Good video.
Would not be at all surprised to see pics on Boeing's Chinook page in time.
(They had quite a bit about the legendary RAF CH-47, 'Bravo November').
