They might be accused of living in fantasy land, but comics authors and illustrators certainly had the right ideas a long time ago --- as shown by this latest development from Boeing. bomb   idea

Concepts like this have been around since at least WWI. Integration of a wing with JDAM is new though....

Boeing already developed something similar for the SDB. And the AGM-154 JSOW has been in service since 1999.
Why do Aerospace Engineering students have to turn things in on time?
