Polands Gov't will be receiving two ERJ-175's. First time they will get in a new aircraft in 36 years. Previously Yak-42's and TU-154 were operated (w/ western modifications). Wonder if this is part of LOT's order?

Good choice - those would serve them well.  thumbsup  I wonder for how many seats both are to be configured, and what range they are looking at if they're fitting auxiliary fuel tanks.

So, will this now officially be called Lineage 750?

Those two ERJ-175 will be the first which receive VIP configuration, and those aircrafts are LOTs order. Due to lack of money in LOT and no good condition of goverments airplanes, LOT and military department sing contract to lease 2 planes from LOT for 4 years. Those two planes are planes which were planed to join LOTs fleet on July and August this year.

which is amusing. Because many are using this Embraer order to prove that LOTs financial situation isn't as bad a certain media outlets are saying. When really the order is just part of the horrible decisions made by LOT.

As Embraer had moved Lineage completions back to Brazil, perhaps this two would also be finished there.....

"Embraer has decided to move the completion work for its flagship VIP Lineage 1000 twinjet from DeCrane subsidiary Pats Aircraft in the USA to the airframer's São José dos Compos headquarters in Brazil, starting with aircraft number five.

According to Luis Carlos Affonso, Embraer vice-president for executive aircraft, the company will continue to purchase the interior fixtures from DeCrane and its various subsidiaries, but will install the items in Brazil, saving the manufacturer from the step of having to fly the green aircraft to the USA for interiors and then back to Brazil for auxiliary fuel tanks before delivery."

That explains the lack of announcement from Embraer regarding this deal. However, if it'd just be for a four-year lease, outfitting the E-175s may not be very practical, and they might reconsider it.

"Once interiors are complete, each Lineage receives Embraer-made auxiliary fuel tanks in what were previously the forward (F13) and rear cargo (F14) compartments. The auxiliary tanks boost fuel capacity by 69%, up to 21,867kg (48,165lb) or 27,232 litres (7,185USgal) from the standard fuel load of 12,972kg in the wing tanks (F2) of the E-190, providing for an intercontinental range of 8,149km (4,400nm). The completion process is expected to take roughly six months, starting with the 'green' aircraft once Embraer applies lessons learned from the first four aircraft going through the process."
