Why All The F-15's/F-18's At BFI?

Sat Jun 27, 2009 7:43 pm

I live in West Seattle and over the last week the amount of( F-15's/18's?) leaving BFI is getting close to two or four a day. Just in the last 20 mins two sets have taken off?

Anyone know why the increase?
You mad Bro???

Maybe doing touch and gos, and other pattern work at BFI? Doesn't the ORANG still fly early model F-15C/Ds (Klamit Falls?) and a USNR F/A-18 wing at McCord AFB?

Is there really one there? Who knew? And so weird when you think about it--

Probably on their way to Elemendorf.

They have been having wargames all the past week. Had lots of F-18's, F-15's and F-22's overflying work.

No, not assigned to McCord, but they were from Lammore and Fallon. I don't know why they stayed at McCord instead of Whidbey. The WAANG use to have F-15s at McCord (and Fairchild), I'm not sure if they still do, or not.

The 318 FIS at McChord AFB was an active duty unit. The WA ANG at Fairchild AFB transitioned from the F-101B to the KC-135.

Because Navy billeting sucks ass compared to Air Force billeting? Not always the case, but typically.

Perhaps in support of Operation Northern Edge 2009, taking place in Alaska.
