A37 Super Tweet - Right Hand Seat

During close are support mission in Vietnam, did anyone sit in the right hand seat or were mission usually flown with it empty?

I recently saw an article in Air & Space Smithsonian that said the right seat most often went empty. However, it was frequently used to carry brass over the action.

That wasn't a bad A&S article.

I didn't know that the dragonfly was the one jet bird that the Air force authorized intentional in flight shutdown.

Anyboyd know the exact dates of manufactur of this aircraft. I haven't been able to find a good date range for the A-37. T-37 no problem.
OBAMA-WORST PRESIDENT EVER....Even SKOORB would be better.

The first T-37 converted for combat use were a small number of YAT-37D's in the early 1960s. After the cancellation of the program, one aircraft was retired to the USAF museum. After things heated up in Southeast Asia, the program was restarted, and the aircraft returned to Cessna for modifications. 25 T-37 were converted to A-37A, went to Vietnam in 1967. Production of new A-37Bs. Started in1967. The USAF procured most between 1968-1973 both for its service and for the VNAF [South Vietnam]. Production lasted until 1976/77 for export orders.
