Unknown DC-10 At Dover AFB Today

Tue Jun 15, 2010 1:09 pm

While running past the flight line this morning on Dover AFB I noticed what looked like a normal KC-10 Extender on the line. When I got closer to it, I noticed it didn't say USAF on it. Instead it was a dark gray upper fuse. and a lighter gray lower fuse. Instead of having a Majcom ID on it's tail, it just had numbers. On the #2 engine, it looked to be BMW logo-type design. Can someone help me figure out who this belonged to? I thought only the USAF had KC-10s.
"But this airplane has 4 engines, it's an entirely different kind of flying! Altogether"

Was it one of the RNLAF KDC-10s? Based by your description I think so. The designation is KDC-10 instead of KC-10 because its a converted pax DC-10
