Thunderbirds At Daytona Today

Sat Feb 19, 2011 10:18 pm

Drove by the Daytona Beach airport, as I do every year, to see what's going to be flying over to start our races this weekend. The 5 F-18's sitting on taxiway November by 7L was expected. The Thunderbirds, all of em, sitting on the opposite taxiway (Pappa) was not!

They've only done the 500 flyover once before, 3 years ago, but that was for the big 50th Anniversary of the event.

It was odd that the 18's and the TBirds were parked on the taxiway too. They always have parked at the terminal apron. But it made for better pictures so woot.
