Air Force One Incident @ LAS This Week

Wed Oct 26, 2011 2:48 pm

Anyone else hear about this?! I guess this is what the government REALLY thinks about these "Occupy" protests.

For the money spent on that A/C... You think they would have better targeting systems!

Clark County Director of Aviation Randall Walker was immediately notified and dispatched airport personnel to the campsite, but witnesses report that the blue ice had melted by the time officials arrived leaving only a smelly brown residue.

Mama said there'd be days like this..

I wonder what their plan was if it was still frozen???
Inspiration, move me brightly!

I thought this can't happen on aircraft as modern as AF1 (if it was one of the 747s) because they have vacuum toilets. Can anyone verify that? Perhaps it was an older aircraft landing just before?

As clean as Air Force One is, you'd think they'd catch a leak in their septic system before it develops into a class III leak. Also, with all the blue sanitizer in the water, why would the puddle be brown and not blue? Lastly, in most situations when the FAA investigates the claims of crap falling from aircraft, they usually find that it's really bird shit, so I'm betting that this story is also a hoax.

I think you have to take into account the source and the article itself. How would they know it wieghed fifty pounds, did they pick up the pulverised remains and wiegh it? My guess is an aircraft like AF 1 is going to have vacum lavs and not the old style blue juice ones.

If it really happened, someone must have taken a picture of it while still frozen. There also was nothing mentioned about it on their website either. Until a picture of it shows up, I'm leaning towards the crap coming from one of the protestors who couldn't get to a porta-potty in time.

Just for reference, the Occupy Las Vegas campsite is in a parking lot across the Thomas & Mack Arena. This means AF1 landed on the 19s (most likely 19L).

AF-1 is a Boeing 747-200 and as such would have been equipped with state of the art (at the time) blue water recirculating toilets.

maybe as original equipment, however who knows now, they may have retrofitted to the newer type... I do have a problem with the thread title... calling a dropped ice chunk an "incident" is a news media sensationalist ploy
