Norway's Celebration Of 100 Years Of Airpower

Wed May 09, 2012 11:07 pm

This afternoon, just as I was about to leave work, my attention was drawn skywards.
-Strange noises, could not quite place them, and WHOA!!! - a C-130J with it's rear ramp open and a F-16 flying so close behind it that it looked like it was going inside..... - At least that what it looked like from the gound.
They were doing several passes over Oslo, as low as 1000' at times, -just great watching them.

Later I found out it was a photoshoot in connection of the celebration this year of 100 years of Norway's Airpower.

The F-16 is specially painted for several apearances at different airshows this year and here are some pics that one lucky photographer got from inside the C-130.

The photographer, Jan Severinsen, published his day's work in the Norwegian forum "Flyprat"

There is always a good reason to watch airplanes
