Nasa Space Shuttle SRB Cam!

Sat Jun 30, 2012 11:08 pm

Hi!

Apologies if this has been done already and I'm sure most of you guys have already seen this but thought I'd post a link to a cool online video of a camera mounted externally on a space shuttle solid rocket booster. It records everything from ingnition to splashdown. Unfortunately there's not too much to see on the way down so it does get a little boring until you can see the sea.

Hope people like!

Many thanks,

Pierre

Thanks for the link, and yes, there are many of those videos online and - frankly - even better ones where the camera isn't half as dirty as it is here, and where you can see the parachutes going down into the water as well.
Try NASA's website.

Will try the Nasa website thanks. I'm sure the quality is much better on there. I kinda miss watching Nasa TV online for the space shuttle missions. It was like reality tv/big brother for space nerds (probably not a very flattering comparison sorry). Anyway I could watch it for hours, even when everyone I knew told me it was the most boring thing ever!

Many thanks.

Here's a good one that YouTube offered up after I watched the video in the OP's link.
